Global Warming Will Cause Gender Inequality

I’m always impressed with the supposed effects of human-caused global warming–it is claimed to cause cooling, more rain, less rain, more snow, less snow, larger glaciers, and smaller glaciers. I thought I had heard it all, but the recently released Stern Report (the UK’s attempt to try to scare the US economically and therefore get the US to join the Kyoto Protocol) has the most absurd effect of climate change. I quote, “Gender inequalities will likely worsen with climate change.” Huh? I wish I were kidding.

Give Me Trans Fats!!!

Kentucky FRIED Chicken (or KFC as they like to call themselves these days) has announced that they are going to use non-trans fat soybean oil from now on. I don’t understand. Fried chicken is supposed to be bad for you–that’s part of the allure. The problem is that when they take out the trans fats, they take out the taste. Just try McDonald’s worthless french fries and you’ll understand why trans fats are important to good tasting fatty foods.
