Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods
Get it while it’s hot, you can download a copy of Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods script from here. Allegedly Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford allegedly liked this script by George Lucas didn’t and vetoed. This likely means that the script is really good because if George Lucas ever knew what makes an enjoyable movie he has forgotten it.
If you can’t tell I didn’t like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The movie had such promise, but was boring. Harrison Ford was great but the story was weak and Shia Labeouf irritating.
So instead of dwelling on how lame Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was, check out this script. Maybe it would has been an interesting movie.
How sad is the state of creativity in Hollywood?
How sad is the state of creativity in Hollywood? For the past few years almost all of the big summer movies have been sequels or remakes. Now Paramount is working on Beverly Hills Cop 4. What’s next? Lethal Weapon 5?
I’m Not As Smart as I Think I Am
Today I read this story, ’10,000 BC’ Almost Clubbed At Box Office. My first thought was “Duh. Of course 10, 000 BC didn’t do well at the box office. It is obviously a horrible movie. This stuff is obvious. A movie studio should really hire to me to greenlight movies.”
It makes perfect sense to me that a movie like 10,000 BC would bomb because it is a movie without a story. But what then explains the success of Spider-Man 3, Shrek the Third, Transformers, Pirates of the Carribean 3, National Treasure 2 and Alvin and the Chipmunks. I didn’t think any of those movies had plots worth seeing and yet they are 6 of the top 10 grossing movies last year.
Maybe I’m not as smart as I thought when it comes to deciding which movies will succeed or not.

Trailer for Inidana Jones 4
Never mind the incredibly lame name, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the trailer for the new Indiana Jones movies looks pretty good.
