One of the strange claims I see made by environmentalists is that if the Earth warms more, it will be “sadder and less flourishing.” Obviously people use different words, but it is always the same–any warming will make the world a worse place.

A warmer earth will be different, but why does necessarily mean it will be worse? Is the Earth “sadder and less flourishing” than when dinosaurs roamed the land and the earth was warmer? Is the earth “happier and more flourishing” in the ice ages when glaciers covered 80 percent of Canada? This is such silly rhetoric.
